Holiday At Gt.Yarmouth

Tuesday 12/6/12
We had already lost 1 day due to the bad weather here in Dagenham, it was absolutley teaming down, we should have gone on holiday Monday.
It was still clouding over here in Dagenham as we left for Gt.Yarmouth and the weather brightened up as we got to our destination Vauxhall Holiday Park.

The caravan was clean, a lot better than others that we had been in. Other places we had been too i had to clean everything before i used them which of course i complained about, not that it got me anywhere.
Anyway, back to this holiday. We settled ourselves in the caravan as ya do, then i got a bit of shopping and some chips. We had a rest then went to ASDAs to do a proper shop to last a few days.
A bit later we went to look around the site and went to the amusement arcade which Steven and Zoe liked. Most of the amusements and shops were under cover like a Mall which i liked.
In the evening we went to the amusments again, then to the hall where there was something going on for the kids, later..the entertainment staff put on a good show of singing old and new songs which was really lovely.  We were singing along to the old and new songs. "?" just sat and watched the show drinking his red wine.
We made our way back to our caravan around 11.30pm which was quite close by, thats another thing i liked too our caravan close to everything.

Wednesday 13/6/12
We had our breakfast. Zoe came to the shop with me and we had a little wander around to see what was where for later.
Around 11.am we went out to Yarmouth sea front and wandered along the promenade, stopping to sit down every so often, then onto Pleasure Beach Pier where Steven and Zoe went on some rides while "?" and I sat and watched the world pass by. I took a couple of pics here and there, most of them are in smilebox above.
A bit later we wandered again back towards the market place stopping to sit down here and there..often, "?" and I were exhausted by this time. We eventually got to the market place looked in a few shops , then found somewhere to have dinner.

After dinner we made our way back to the car stopping and starting again we then went back to the caravan and had our needy rest. Steven and Zoe went off to the amusements for a while...ah peace at last, well for half hour at least..haha!
Thier money didn't last too long. I decided to go out with Steven and Zoe to have a look around and we ended up in the crazy golf where Steven and Zoe played against each other that was good fun with me watching, afterwards we looked at the quad bikes, then went back to the caravan.
 "?" was watching TV when we got back. Then Steven and Zoe  were off again to go on the quad bikes which i took a couple of photos of  when they came by the caravan, they are in smilebox above.

When they returned we had sandwhiches then we all went out again in the evening to the arcade as thats where the kids wanted to go. I was tired as i hadn't rested enough before-hand and i just sat down on one of those horse ride things and waited.

Later we went into the hall again where there was a Welsh lady singing and my goodness what a beautiful voice she has, she sang old and new songs effortlessly for an hour. We all sang along with her "?" too. I must say another lovely evening of entertainment. It was late again before we got back to the caravan. The whole day and evening was great other than "?" and myself being tired out.

Thursday 14/6/12...My Grandaughter Zoe's 13th Birthday Surprise

Its Zoes birthday we gave her her birthday cards and guess what, they were all the same would you believe..lol.
Anyway, we didn't go anywhere this morning. It was nearly 1pm when Zoe and i went to the amusement arcade Steven said he didn't want to go when Zoe tried to persuade him to come with us, but he said no. So off we went on our own, Zoe was a bit upset because Steven wasn't with us. (in the mean time "?" and Steven went to Yarmouth train station on a mission unknown to Zoe)
I said to Zoe is this the worst birthday ever, she said yes it is. Little did she know what was in store for her special day.
A little while went by then my phone rang for us to return to the caravan. As Zoe got inside the caravan there was some shouting of surprises behind her. Zoe was so surprised to see her mum ( Sheila ) and cousin Jade walking in the door-way. Of course we all knew they were coming except Zoe, she didn't have a clue, her face was a picture. 
It was all joy and laughter alround. After Sheila and Jade had rested we all went to Yarmouth sea front and wandered around for a while.

After a while we made our way back to the car and headed back to the caravan.

Sheila and I took the girls swimming. We left the girls and wandered into to restaurant to see what could be done for Zoes birthday.
I went back to the pool where the girls were and Sheila went back to the caravan too "?" and Steven and they went off to ASDAs while i stayed with the girls by the pool. After a while the girls came out of the pool and on our way out the door we bumped into Sheila and Steven.
 Sheila told me on our own that she had bought a birthday cake, banners and balloons and dropped them off at the restaurant for later.


When we got back to the caravan the girls played tennis just outside the caravan while we rested..phew!

It was around 6.30pm when we went out. we wandered through the amusements to get to the restaurant to have our drinks outside the restaurant lobby. We sat and chatted for a while and Sheila took some photos, then it was time to go in for the surprise meal.
 Zoe walked in the restaurant and her face was a picture of surprise, so was Jades. The waitresses had done her proud and decorated the table  with balloons and banners with a special chair for Zoe and we all sang happy birthday and the waitresses joined in too. The meal was lovely and we all enjoyed Zoes surprised 13th birthday.
Zoes birthday cake arrived after our meal and we all sang happy birthday to her. Zoe cut her cake and we all had a piece of it, so did the waitresses, it was really lovely.

The 3 waitresses came over and tied all the balloons and banners to her and made a fuss of Zoe. 









Then we left the restaurant and walked through the amusements then into the hall. We got our drinks and sat down.

The entertainment was great. A bit later Michael Jackson look-a-like came on stage, the one who was on Britains Got Talent. He was really good and we were all singing along to Michael Jackson songs. I think Steven was a bit tipsy as he was swaying to the music with a smile on his face...lol.
After Michael Jackson look-a-like had finished there was more singing going on. Then Zoes name was called out to go up on the stage which she did without her balloons and banners..lol. and another girl was called up too as it was her 12th birthday. The compare was teasing them both as they do, it was all good fun. When Zoe came back to the table she had a medal hanging around her neck that the compare had given her.

A bit later, Zoe and Steven went down to the dance floor, Jade stayed with us. Steven was swaying and Zoe was dancing. Well, Steven had never done this before. Sheila, Zoe, "?" and I were singing along with the songs all evening. Sheila was dancing and singing near by. It was all great fun.
After the singing had finished, the Disco started. we stayed for a little while longer, it must have been around 12.30 ( night? )before we left the hall. We passed another hall for the over 18's.  "?" "Steven and I popped in to see what was going on. The hall we were in was much better i thought. It was after 1.am before we got back to the caravan.

Friday 15/6/12
Today we all go home. We got our things together and packed the car up and left Gt.Yarmouth around 10am and made our way home.
