My Latest News...

There's been a few issues already this year. "ST" my grandson has been here most of the time since New Year. He did go home to his mother "L", but she keeps picking on him and has hit, punched and kicked him and drew blood in the process (these days i see her in a different light since "A" has been in prison. "A" tried to tell me that all the blame was centred on him, but i can now see who is to blame, its "L" who is the violent one)"ST" is 15 years old and big for his age and he could make mincemeat of anyone who starts on him,but he would never hurt his mum although she is trying to provoke him to retaliate. He has returned a few times to try to make amends. but his mum won't back off. His mum has also had his money stopped (child allowance) so, hes getting no money at all from anywhere for his keep while living here. I have tried to keep him on my pension but, it is so hard to cope with on the bit of money i receive as i am on a low income.I can't see any logical reason for "L" actions towards "ST" or maybe i can! I think she wanted to get rid of him because he will be 16 years of age in August and all her money will be messed up, so shes passed the buck so to speak, other than that theres no logical reason.
"A" my son phoned last Friday from prison and "?" told him of the situation i mentioned above ("A" is "ST" dad) He is fuming with "L". I have never mentioned any of the problems concerning "ST" and "L" when i wrote to "A" because he might go into a temper and be in trouble in the prison."ST" has been ill all week with a viral infection and is still ill, but it is coming away from him now.
"A" has got an appointment at our local hospital soon, so it will be a day out for him and a break from prison surroundings.I know that don't sound much of a day out, but it is for someone in his position.
Last Saturday, "Z" my granddaughter she is 9 years old came to stay over untill Sunday evening. We all had a wonderful weekend together playing Trivial Pursuit and games on TV and "Z" helped me do a few things around the house and with dinner, shes a good kid.
There is one thing good thats happened, i bought a 42" flat screen TV which i am very happy with and which has cheered me up no end and i can see my programes better without sqinting, my eyes seem to be getting worse these days. And my 32" TV is now in my bedroom and my other 32" TV is now in "ST" room.
I've got an all day appoimntment at Moorfield Hospital in April at the Glaucoma clinic, i have Glaucoma in both eyes. As i said above, my eyes seem to be getting worse these days. Sometimes, i can;t see properly with or without my glasses which is a real nuisance at times.
Today, i cancelled my Sky movie channels. But, what a palaver that was trying to get through to them on the phone.
Well, thats all my news for now... Astra!

Oh dear Astra you have a lot on your plate at the moment to contend with. Some parents today will just not sit down and talk things over withthere children.I belive it is the best way to solve problems.Thers nothing gained by violance. No matter how angry they make us.Have you tried getting help yourslef on the situation maybe some free legal advise froma solicitor may help. You wouldn't have to pay being on a low income and all would be kept confidential. You could try for nothing. Also the Citizens advise might be bale to help too.My Mother had gaucoma, she had her eyes operated on.I do wish there was some way I could help, only in giving you my support by e. mailetc should you wish to write to me anytime at all do so.Lets hopw after the dark the brightness comes along and all goes well.Try not to worry too much I know it is easy for people to say that, but worrying I have found doesn't help at all.Until next time.Know you are in my prayers.Happy to read you allhad a lovely time together.Take Care God Bless Kath xx
